Howard Marksa chieved notoriety as an international cannabix smuggler through high-profile court cases, connections with groups such as MI6, the IRA, and the Mafia, and his eventual conviction at the hands of the American Drug Enforcement Administration. Now an acclaimed author and public speaker he interviews one of the UK's best loved artists from the last 20 years.

In 1985 Shaun Ryder, singer and lyricist formed in 1985, the Happy Mondays build their sound around hip hop bears, funky bass lines, blues guitars samples and Ryder's inimitable lyrics.

Famous for their lifestyle and their unique collision of rave beats, indie rock and street poetry, the Happy Mondays journey from the hacienda to Brighton's Great Escape has been a colourful one.
